Think Different :)

Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes.

The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them.

About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They invent. They imagine. They heal. They explore. They create. They inspire. They push the human race forward.

Maybe they have to be crazy.

How else can you stare at an empty canvas and see a work of art? Or sit in silence and hear a song that’s never been written? Or gaze at a red planet and see a laboratory on wheels?

We make tools for these kinds of people.

While some see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.

Take care,

Learn To Appreciate What You’ve Got

Always be thankful =)

On yesterday’s morning, I broke one of my cymbals.. I felt like crap during several hours, ’cause it costs like $300 bucks. It hurt, although it’s material stuff and I don’t care much about material, the thing is that it took a lot of effort for me to buy it, and watching it broken is frustrating.

So what did I do about it? In the moment, nothing.. I don’t know how to fix a broken cymbal, but I know the one who can do it (unfortunately, he lives about 90 miles away) and I don’t have the guts to travel to a big city all by myself with a cymbal like this, it’s pretty risky when you’re 17. So I’ll try to find someone who can go with me 🙂 .

But.. Beyond a broken cymbal

I learned quite well that I need to be thankful about this, because being thankful is the way how you show the world how much you care, and I feel very grateful that it can be fixable, that it lasted me through all this years in different shows, that it will last a couple of more years if I take good care of it and specially being grateful that I have the joy to have it 🙂

Once I read on a best seller book called The Secret about the law of attraction, it is definitely one of my favorite books, because beyond how dreadful you think it is while you’re reading with thoughts like ‘naah I don’t believe this crap, this has been the worst investment in my life. I’m sure it doesn’t work, so this book goes straight to eBay’

It’s not like that 🙂 ‘The magical way to get everything’ is not the purpose as it teaches you to have a better life, even if you reach or not your goals. Great book, highly recommended.

So what’s next?

Getting to know yourself is essential to find the right way to appreciate what you’ve got, it’s not about the pain that you feel once you lost it, it’s about knowing what you’ve got inside of you and outside as well; feeling every little detail of it, appreciate what you’ve got (your family, your partner, your friends, everything you have in life, even breathing) and soon you’ll see how life gives ten times more of what you’ve got. Every positive thought, is a seed of happiness in your mind, waiting for you to make it grow by bringing your heart out to the world.

Half The World

Half the world cares, while half the world is wasting the day

Today I found myself meditating about the lyrics of this great song called Half The World, by Rush. It emphazises on the global differences, about the third world countries and the powerful countries.

But it isn’t just about countries. In my opinion, the main line in the chorus is about ‘Half the world thinks what the other half does’ it’s quite impressive 🙂 I really enjoyed listening to this song because in a metaphoric way shows the differences in the world’s disimilar status… Half the world tries to reach the other half, it seems like a good way to explain how rich people pretend to make an effort to reach the poors through donations, but they just make’em reach some money from their pockets, nothing else; and viseversa, the poor trying to reach the rich, but they just don’t; I don’t live thinking about this differences, I live thanks to music and love; but it’s just so cool, thinking about “how did we get here, in this world, and some people try to reach the other lucky or luckless part.. Through their actions.. it’s actually a big mistery, because both don’t like each other, but they must learn to share.

This may also lead us to think about cultural differences, ethical, ways to obey and to lead, it’s amazing. Half the world tries to be the other half…

“Half the world hates
What half the world does every day
Half the world waits
While half gets on with it anyway

Half the world lives
Half the world makes
Half the world gives
While the other half takes

Half the world is
Half the world was
Half the world thinks
While the other half does

Half the world talks
With half a mind on what they say
Half the world walks
With half a mind to run away

Half the world lies
Half the world learns
Half the world flies
As half the world turns

Half the world cries
Half the world laughs
Half the world tries
To be the other half

Half of us divided
Like a torn-up photograph
Half of us are trying
To reach the other half

Half the world cares
While half the world is wasting the day
Half the world shares
While half the world is stealing away”
